I believe rewarding yourself for accomplishing a goal is one of the best things you can do to keep you motivated. Setting a goal for every 10, 15 or 20 pounds you lose, you can reward yourself with something you want. You are doing the best that you can to change your life and losing weight is one of the most hardest things to do. So why not reward yourself from accomplishing your goal. Maybe you don’t have lots of money to reward yourself with big things but there are plenty of cheap ways to reward yourself with. Maybe your husband or wife handles the money then simple ask them, I bet you and your husband/wife would be able to work something out. Here are some ideas to reward yourself…. getting a massage, buying makeup, getting nails done, getting a pedicure, getting your hair done, buying a new purse, buying a new top or shoes. If you’re a guy maybe buying a game for your game system, buying a movie, magazine, cd, new hat, shoes, shirt or cologne.
I decided for every 10 pounds I lose, I will reward myself . I lost my first ten and decided to buy myself a new purse from Wal-Mart. Its cute and comes with a little wallet that matches. I also bought some makeup I desperately needed. So I’m happy not only because I lost ten pounds but I got myself something for doing a great job. I’m excited because I’m only need 3 more pounds to lose another 10! Woot! Woot!


Good for you for rewarding yourself with something other than food! I want to do that also, but can’t think of anything that I want other than eating out at a Mexican restaurant. I really need to break that habit!
